A WOMAN who carried an artificial heart in a backpack has died of complications following surgery.
Rebecca Henderson, 24, had recently undergone a transplant to give her a new heart.
She was one of just two people in the UK to have an artificial heart.
The Oxford University student was described as an ‘inspiration’ by those who knew her.
Miss Henderson, from Bicester, had her entire heart removed after being diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in 2017.

Her mother, Linda said she had been 'blown away' by the messages of support
I’m totally blown away by the wonderful messages for @BeckyHen94 . She is the most amazing person. It is a privilege to be her mum and I’ll never stop loving or missing her. 😔💕
