A PLAN for three big new homes, which will back onto homeowners gardens, has been filed to Oxford City Council this week.

Unused land on Hill Top Road in Oxford, which developers Rectory Homes claims is also derelict and unmanaged, could be revamped into a row of terrace houses.

The site is near Oxford Golf Club, through a gravel road next door to Jack Howarth House. It also backs on to the gardens of two homes.

If the plans are approved by the council then work will begin on the three-storey four-bed homes, which will look similar to others on the road but will have balconies staggered at different heights overlooking the acres of fields.

Planners have promised to keep the public footpath which runs from Warneford Meadow, a large area of greenery beyond the trees at the back of the plot owned by Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust, because it will keep the walking route 'safe and pleasant'.
