A 36-hour disco raised more than £1,000 to help a teenager with a rare form of bone cancer afford a holiday in Iceland.

The non-stop dance took place at the Windrush Club, Witney, earlier this month, in aid of 13-year-old Adam Bennett, from Witney, who was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma in December 2017.

The event, organised by family friends Chris, Karen and Lennon Craddock, included pool, aunt sally and darts competitions.

They raised £1,033, which will go towards the spending money for Adam’s trip to Iceland for his 14th birthday, supported and organised by the charity Make-A-Wish UK.

A contribution will also go to ‘Liberty’s Legacy’, which supports life-saving research into Ewing’s Sarcoma by the Bone Cancer Research Trust. "
