PEOPLE have until the end of tomorrow to comment on major expansion plans for one of Oxfordshire's oldest secondary schools.
Wallingford School, founded in 1659, is seeking to build a large new block in its grounds with 20 additional 'teaching spaces' which will allow the school to take two whole extra classes per year.
Demand high for Oxford's new Swan School
Plans were submitted to South Oxfordshire District Council earlier this month and are aimed at meeting demand from new housing.
Documents from the school out in with the application said: "The local population is expected to increase dramatically in the coming years following the expansion of South Oxfordshire’s housing provision within the School’s catchment area.

"Oxford County Council therefore approached Wallingford School with the proposal of providing new teaching accommodation should the school be willing to admit an additional one or two forms of entry from the 2018/19 school year onwards."
Members of public can see the full plans online at southoxon.gov.uk using application reference number P19/S0191/FUL.
