AN EAST Oxford sex attacker is still on the run, despite CCTV footage being released following an assault earlier this month.

The man crept into a home in Divinity Road and sexually assaulted a young woman at around 4am on Saturday, February 9.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) have released footage of a man they believe could have vital information in the case, but so far the search for the attacker has proved fruitless - and police have warned that he could strike again.

The recording shows the male cycling in the area around the time of the incident.

Officers say the attacker gained access to the property through an insecure window before assaulting the woman, who is in her 20s.

She did not require hospital treatment.

Police patrols have been stepped up in the area following the incident while residents have been warned to lock their doors and 'remain vigilant'.

TVP spokeswoman Hannah Jones said: "The investigation is ongoing.

"There have been no further arrests."

One arrest had been made in connection with the attack, however the suspect was later released and no further action was taken.
