A CAR crashed into an electricity pole and brought cables down to the ground in the early hours of this morning.
The vehicle snapped the pole in the collision, which happened at approximately 1.30am on Drake Avenue, Didcot.
Two fire engines attended the incident, along with Thames Valley Police, South Central Ambulance Service and Scottish and Southern Electricity.
Nobody was trapped in the car, and no other vehicles or people were involved, but a cordon was quickly put in place to keep people away from the area.

The incident commander, watch manager Jon Walker, said: “This driver was lucky to escape serious injury.
"If you drive during the winter you should take extra care, especially at night.
"Never get behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or drugs, avoid distractions such as mobile phones, keep your speed down, and don’t drive if you’re tired.”
