A BURGLARY victim confronted two intruders in her living room who pretended they were workers at the wrong address.

The resident was upstairs at her home in Green Road, Risinghurst, at about 1.30pm yesterday and heard noises downstairs.

She saw two men in the living room, who said they were meant to be working at a house in the area but had the wrong address.

The victim asked them to leave and they did.

It is believed the offenders entered the property via an insecure front door.

A purse containing cash was stolen.

The first man is described as white, in his 50s, about 5ft 6ins tall, of stocky build and with fair hair. He wore a woolly hat and a dark jacket.

The other is described as white, in his 20s, stocky and about 5ft 6ins tall. He was wearing a cap, glasses with dark jacket and trousers.
