OXFORD United fans will be able to donate food and money to a food bank at tomorrow afternoon's match.

With a bumper crowd expected to welcome the visit of Sunderland, OxVox has organised collection points at the turnstiles to support the work of Oxford Food Bank.

The charity collect unsold fresh food from supermarkets and deliver it free to more than 80 Oxfordshire charities, helping them to feed people a healthy, cheap meal.

The collection drive had originally been scheduled to take place at the U's home match with Portsmouth earlier in the seasons but was rearranged due to the food bank being full at that time.

Stewards and members of supporters club Oxvox will be on hand to collect food from fans at each of the seven turnstiles and the downstairs bar in the South Stand.

There will also be collection buckets where supporters can donate cash instead.

Items most in need include UHT/Long life milk, long life fruit juice, sugar, tinned food, cereal, biscuits, bottled sauces, coffee and hot chocolate and practical toiletries.

Fans are being asked to ensure all items have a sell-by date of at least three months from today and are clearly labelled.

Around 10,000 fans are expected to attend the game.
