OXFORD Wine Company, which has shops in Botley Road and Turl Street, has been named Regional Chain of the Year.

The accolade was handed out at the Drinks Retailing Awards.

Managing director Ted Sandbach said members of the staff team were delighted.

He added: “There was stiff competition to say the least! It was a fantastic evening, and we are of course extremely happy with the result.

“This is a real coup for us. We were nominated against three exceptionally strong businesses, all of whom we know and respect, and to win is a fantastic start to what we hope will be another great year for The Oxford Wine Company. The whole team should feel very proud.”
