OXFORDSHIRE has no shortage of places to grab a kebab, and most people have their favourite.

Testament to the choice on offer for the county's kebab fans, yesterday it was announced that three Oxfordshire eateries have been shortlisted for the seventh annual British Kebab Awards.

Antep Kitchen in Cowley Road, Oxford is nominated in this year's ‘best newcomer restaurant’ title, while Bodrum Restaurant, also in Cowley Road, is shortlisted for the ‘best takeaway’.

Thame-based Atalay’s Kebab Van is once again up for ‘kebab van of the year’.

Antep Kitchen currently has a five-star rating on review website Tripadvisor (based on 301 reviews); Bodrum Restaurant has four stars (117 reviews) and Atalay's Kebab Van (11 reviews) currently boast 4.5 stars.

According to Tripadvisor the three best-rated Kebab joints in Oxfordshire are:

  • Antep Kitchen, Cowley Road, Oxford        5 stars
  • Oxford’s Grill, Cowley Road, Oxford         4.5 stars
  • Original Hassan’s Broad Street, Oxford    4.5 stars
