AN OVEN caught fire after students left their cooking unattended.
Fire crews were sent to Howard Street, east Oxford on Sunday evening and arrived on the scene within minutes.

They were faced with a smoke-filled kitchen caused by the oven fire but managed to put it out and isolate the appliance.
The students had called 999 when they heard the smoke alarm and were alerted to the fire.
No one was hurt in the incident.
