MOTORISTS heading out of Oxfordshire faced major delays on the A34 this morning following a crash across the county border.
The collision happened on the southbound carriageway at East Ilsley in Berkshire, shortly before 6.30am, and one lane was closed.
Tailbacks were stretching back to Harwell but all lanes had reopened by 8am and congestion was starting to clear.

Traffic was also held on the southbound A34 near Kidlington following a two-car crash at about 9.45am.
One lane remained closed at 10.15am and traffic remained slow.

A separate breakdown on the A34 near Milton was also causing delays on the northbound stretch at about 7am, but all lanes have since reopened.
