MOTORISTS are being warned to continue driving with care today as snow turns to dangerous ice.
Thames Valley Police earlier tweeted a photo of an overturned car on one of the county's major routes, with a warning noting roads are still slippery as freezing temperatures continue.
Police wrote: "It’s warming up and the roads are clearing but please still take care.
"It’s still slippery as this Vauxhall driver found out."

Officers also took the opportunity to remind drivers that failing to remove snow or ice from their car bonnet could see them penalised for 'driving without due consideration' or 'using a vehicle in a dangerous condition’.

Some parts of Oxfordshire were forecast to get more snow late last night, while residents in other areas awoke this morning to find plenty of snow still on the ground.

The Met Office's yellow weather alert for the south of England is due to elapse at 11am, but despite bright sunshine the cold weather means it will take hours for the snow to melt.
Council gritters were out in force again last night, but rural routes are expected to remain hazardous and could be treacherous for days.
