ONE of Oxford's most historic pubs is looking for new managers.
St John's College is searching for a new team to takeover at The Lamb and Flag in St Giles.
The pub, known as the drinking spot of choice for authors including J. R. R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis and Thomas Hardy, is being offered for a term of no more than five years.
Savills has been appointed to put the new management agreement in place at the 400-year-old building which is free of trading ties.

The college has not confirmed what has happened to the old management but a spokesperson said: "The pub has been an integral part of the college’s history for over 400 years.
"Our vision is to ensure the continuation of this wonderful pub through an agreement which allows the new operator freedom to develop the business with our support.”
