SHOPPERS queued in their droves for the opening of a new Marks and Spencer this morning.

The new Foodhall in Chipping Norton attracted scores of people lured by the promise of 'golden tickets' for money off products.

The Windmill Square Retail Park store is open from 10am today, with the first 200 customers winning the discount tickets.

Oxford Mail reporter James Roberts said he thought 'at least 300 people' queued.

There was even a giant Percy Pig to greet customers.
