POORLY patients in the ear, nose and throat department at Oxford Children's Hospital have been given the gift of reading.

A bundle of books have been donated to the department thanks to students at Chandlings Prep School, between Boars Hill and Kennington, near Oxford.

It comes as the school asked to support the hospital in donating books every term.
