POLICE told motorists to avoid a section of the A40 which was partially blocked by a fallen tree.
One driver said they thought the tree had fallen onto a car that had a smashed windscreen near the area of blocked road, which has since been reopened.
@BBCOxford @JACKfmOxford @TheOxfordMail Tree down on A40 eastbound just before Wheatley Turn. Looks like it came down on a range rover as we saw one with a smashed windscreen just further up. Driver was stood next to it & on the phone.

"Poor chap. Must have been a huge shock. Hope he's ok."
Lane one of the London-bound section of road before the Islip turning on the B4027 was blocked.
