HERE is a round-up of some of the sentencing hearings held at Oxford Crown Court between Monday January 21 and Friday January 25.

Monday

Mohammed Karrar, 44, Bassam Karrar, 39 and Anjum Dogar, 37.

The three men were handed life sentences with a total minimum term of 48 years for conspiracy to rape, rape and indecent assault.

Oliver Welsby, of no fixed abode.

He was sentenced after pleading guilty to one count of causing grievous bodily harm with intent following an attack on a dog walker in Abingdon's Boxhill Park on July 19.

Tuesday

Trevor Stewart, 36, of no fixed abode.

Handed a community order after he kicked a man in the the groin and left him unconscious during a lunch-time brawl at the back of Oxford’s crown court building.

Max Paintin, 21, of Balfour Road, Blackbird Leys, Oxford.

Jailed for 12 months after an attack outside a corner shop at Blackbird Leys.

Wednesday

No sentencings held at the crown court.

Thursday

Fernando Rabaneda, 47, of Westlands Drive, Oxford.

A university lab technician who was handed a community order after he was caught with 1,000 indecent images.
