AFTER some initial confusion over if we were asking for pictures of anglers and angels Camera Club have come up with an impressive array of entries for our 'angles' theme this week.

From children leaping along the beach to a train station's stunning glass roof there were no shortage of places to find slanting lines.

Many members focused on nature, with angles snapped in a variety of sometimes surprising places.

One of our favourites was Ann Lane's pretty pink image of a dandelion head.

Each seed of the flower ready to be blown away helps make a cluster of little angles at the top of the stem.

We also loved a river scene by Io Nutz taken after this week's snowfall.

The way the shot has been composed means the intense blue of the water forms an angle to the white pathway beside it.

Manmade structures also featured in many images and we loved Jim Jutton's photograph of a quadrangle in a French church.

The place where the two lines meet is unusually at the front of the shot with the angled walls then pushing out into the background.

People were the focus of several submissions and we particularly enjoyed David Bird's shot of a rower angling her oars to drive across the water.

The atmospheric shot sees the small figure surrounded by a blurry blue-toned backdrop.

It was not just about physical angles, with many members instead focusing on different perspectives.

We particularly liked a pair of images that show the benefits of looking up.

Matt Hancock has captured the scale of London's many mammoth buildings and by contrast, trees in Badbury Clumps look equally imposing in Kevin Clark's image of a canopy of leaves.

Another image that interpreted the theme slightly differently was Bob Girling's picture of the Ridgeway looking towards Chilton.

He explained he had used a wide angle lens to capture the full scope of the countryside.

Next week's Camera Club is on the move with the theme 'motion'.

This week’s winner will be announced in tomorrow’s paper.

Happy snapping!
