TWO men have denied drug dealing after police stopped a car they were in and found crack cocaine and heroin worth nearly £1,000.

Liam Quinn, 24, of Warwick Road, Banbury, and Dominic Daly-Vint, 26, of no fixed abode, both deny two counts of conspiracy to supply class A drugs, and Quinn denies a further count of possessing criminal property.

As their trial at Oxford Crown Court got under way yesterday jurors were told how the pair were spotted in a black VW Golf in the Bretch Hill area of Banbury on the afternoon of April 20 2017.

Despite efforts to stop the car, the court heard, the Golf reversed away from police before it was eventually stopped and the contents searched.

Inside, prosecutor William Eaglestone said, officers seized a number of wraps of drugs.

Later, jurors were told, police searched Quinn's home and found cash totalling £3,555 as well as 237g of skunk cannabis, an ounce of cocaine and a set of digital scales.

Quinn has already pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply in relation to the discovery of the cannabis, the court heard.

Mr Eaglestone said that when interviewed by police they denied any involvement in dealing the drugs found in the car.

The trial continues.
