A MAN was knocked unconscious after being kicked and punched in the head in a brutal attack outside a Bicester pub.

The 19-year-old victim was set upon by a man outside the Saxon pub in Sheep Street at around 3.10am on Sunday, November 25, following a row in the pub's toilets.

The victim suffered facial injuries and memory loss and was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital.

He was later discharged although he still requires ongoing medical treatment.

Thames Valley Police have released a CCTV image of a man who they say may have vital information to the their investigation.

Investigating officer PC Jennifer Ridgley, based at Bicester police station, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who has any information about the incident or who witnessed the events. Two men assisted the victim following the assault and I would also like to speak to these people as they may have witnessed the incident.

“I would also be interested in speaking to the person shown in the CCTV image or anyone who recognises them as this man may have vitally important information about what happened.”
