FOOTAGE has emerged of the 'big bird' on the loose in southern Oxfordshire.
Police tweeted yesterday about the bird which has since been affectionately named 'Chris the Rhea' in a nod to singer Chris Rea.
The force warned of 'a few road issues' in the area as a result of the bird's escape, believed to be from a local farm.

Video captured by Colleen McDonnell saw the rhea running down Peppard Road, just outside the county, in between the queues of cars.
The escape is attracting attention on Twitter with users using the hashtag #ChristheRhea
