NEIGHBOURS of an Oxfordshire cricket club after being asked if they mind it serving alcohol and hosting live music late into the evening.

Thame Town Cricket Club has applied for the licensing for its new pavilion, and South Oxfordshire District Council has launched a consultation.

The club specifically wants licenses to have live and recorded music on Fridays and Saturdays until 11.30pm and until 10pm on Sundays, and to sell alcohol 9am until 10.45pm, Sunday to Thursday, and 9am until 11.45pm on Friday and Saturday.

It has also applied for a licence to show films in the evening.

The club has applied for the new licenses after cutting the ribbon on its new pavilion in October.
