A NEW massage parlour is set to open in Headington after plans were approved by Oxford City Council.

The Oxford Massage Centre will also offer beauty treatments at its new base.

The company is moving from its current location at the Holiday Inn hotel by Pear Tree park and ride because of building work.

It is now set to take over the former Oxford Food Centre building at 291 London Road.

Before the unit was repossessed by court order in 2017, it was a food shop, so the council needed to give it the green light to change into a salon.

The new tenant, a sole trader, currently has a five-year lease.
