AN 18-year old is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after a two-vehicle crash this morning.
Police are now appealing for witnesses after the collision at about 5.15am today at Beaumont Road, Banbury.
A silver Vauxhall Corsa had collided with a stationary heavy goods vehicle and the driver, an 18-year old, sustained serious injuries.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital where he remains in a life threatening condition.
A passenger in the Corsa, another 18-year-old man, sustained arm and finger injuries which are not life-threatening. He was also taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital and remains there.
The road was closed for several hours while officers were in attendance and has since re-opened.
Investigating officer Sergeant Claire Greene, of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or who has any dash-cam footage which may assist our investigation.
"If you have any details, or saw the vehicle travelling prior to the collision, please contact police.”
