5. Join a running club

Regular running is one of the best ways to keep fit but it’s not always the most exciting activity.

Joining a club is one way of making sure you’re never alone while pounding the pavements.

We’re blessed with several high quality running clubs in and around Oxford which cater for all levels and abilities.

Most meet regularly for club runs and training sessions as well as competing in road and cross country championships, for those wanting to take their running to the next level.

Try Headington Road Runners, a large, friendly club based in the Oxsrad sports centre in Marston.
