TRUSTEES from The Ray Collins Charitable Trust worked flat out throughout December to help people in the community.
The trust, which supports a range of good causes in the Wantage area, helped several local families in crisis and redecorated Grove Day Centre, before hosting its seventh Christmas meal.
Volunteers also took to Wantage's Sainsbury’s for this year's Christmas hamper appeal, which collected an impressive 130 hampers, which were distributed to local families in need.
The Christmas Eve dinner saw nearly 50 lonely and vulnerable people at a music and food-filled event, with those unable to attend having their dinner delivered.
Mr Collins said: “This was by far our best Christmas lunch, all the volunteers were superb. Several children came to help and really got involved, keeping everyone happy.
"I can’t thank everyone enough - the most Christmas volunteers we have ever had and all were stars. So many huge smiles.
"We made a difference in our community."
