BREXIT could destabilise house prices in 2019, but it seems likely that those at the very top of the market will retain their value.

For those looking to buy a 'dream home' this year, here are five of the most luxurious that Oxfordshire has to offer.

1. Priced at a cool £3.25 million, this eight-bedroom, 17th Century period house in Noke is on the market for the first time in 34 years.

Oxford Mail:

The detached property was the residence of the famous artist William Logsdail, who lived here from 1922 - 1944. A blue historical plaque can be found on the front of the house.

Oxford Mail:

There's some space to put your feet up outside, with the garden and grounds measuring around 2.68 acres and including a large sun terrace with swimming pool, lawns and paddock.

2. Also on the outskirts of Oxford is this six-bedroom property on Hid's Copse Road.

Oxford Mail:

Set within 1.2 acres, the landscaping has been designed around the 'Fairy Glen' at the bottom of the garden - and the fairy theme continues throughout the house and grounds.

Oxford Mail:

The enchantment may not stretch to your wallet, though, with the home priced at £2.85 million.

Bespoke features include a luxurious designer kitchen/breakfast room, generous reception rooms, spacious hallways and landings, an internal green oak frame, wide oak floors, large bedrooms and Bateau bath tubs. Fancy.

3. In Sutton, near Witney, a detached five-bed family home sits in private gardens of about half an acre - and will 'only' set you back £1 million.

The current owners of 'The Burrows' have enjoyed the house, which features an attractive leafy plummage on its walls, for the last quarter of a century.

Oxford Mail:

The house itself offers spacious accommodation and a separate games room. It also boasts a 'wide and airy' entrance hall with a wooden floor; 'exposed stonework and open tread staircase'; a 33' main reception room 'for entertaining'; and a family room with stone inglenook, housing a wood burning stove in a brick surround.
Oxford Mail:
Outside, the property is entered via a five-bar gate onto a gravelled drive - so you won't have to worry about parking far away from your games room.

4. In Preston Crowmarsh, near Wallingford, 'The Dorchester' is a five-bedroom detached house on an exclusive development of only three properties, called Honey Farm. You'll need sweeteners in the region of £1.35 million, of course, to own it.
Oxford Mail:
Measuring just over 4,000 sqft, the property offers a large open plan living space, three bedrooms with en suites, a walk-in dressing room, a separate lounge with a fireplace and a generous double garage.

Oxford Mail:
Honey Farm's properties cover the basic essentials - with under floor heating throughout, smart heating and lighting controllable from a phone or tablet, handmade staircases with glass balustrades and a fully planted and lawned garden, with Indian sandstone patios.

5. Hidden Brook, near Abingdon, is on the market for a cool £1.595 million.

The development, which includes five individually designed luxury homes, are apparently 'perfectly suited to the Svenskhomes system being used to create these unique, energy efficient homes'.

Oxford Mail:
It is also located near around of the best-golfing venues in the South, offering three championship courses.
