AN Oxford University spin-off has moved to Harwell Innovation Centre.
PrOXisense, the brainchild of Professor Kam Chana, uses sensors to predict required repairs in machines, which it is hoped will save lives and millions of pounds.
The pioneering technology, dubbed ‘smart maintenance’, has received £2.5m from various investors, including the university.
PrOXisense Chief Executive Neil Parke said: "Our technology is making real-time decision-making possible, allowing our systems to recommend timely interventions for predictive and preventative maintenance to machinery including wind turbines."
