DAMP, cold and overcast, the chances of a white Christmas in Oxford seem to have been dashed.
Four days before the big event, the Met Office is currently predicting December 25 in Oxfordshire will be cloudy with a ten per cent chance of rain.
Top temperatures are set to be about nine degrees, but with the wind it will feel even chillier.
Boxing Day is much the same but slightly colder, with more of the same on Thursday.
There is, however, a ray of sunshine before that in the form of - a ray of sunshine.
Anyone doing a spot of last minute Christmas shopping in Oxford tomorrow will be treated to sunny spells throughout the day and temperatures at a positively balmy 10 degrees.
The current Met Office air pollution rating for Oxford is 2 - moderately low.
Sunday, meanwhile, is definitely a day for wrapping, with rain forecast throughout the day.
