BATTERED mince pies and sprouts are part of one chippy's seasonal specials, making everything deep and crisp and even.

The team at Howe and Co 66, which travels around the north of the county, introduced the festive additions for customers over Christmas.

It includes battered brussel sprouts, battered pigs in blankets, battered brie bites with cranberry, and batter mince pies to leave customers' mouths salivating.

Owner Andrew Franklin said the did a Facebook poll to gage whether people fancied batter brussel sprouts, and the vote was a close call, so this week the team added them to the seasonal extras.
