LOCAL author James Bishop dropped in at Blackwell’s Bookshop to read extracts from his latest children’s book.
He was at the chain’s Westgate Centre shop on Friday to read from his new title, Iguana Boy vs the 30 Second Thief.
Among youngsters listening carefully to Mr Bishop’s impromptu storytime session was nine-year-old Raina Gong Yu Qiao.
Mr Bishop was a runner-up on Lorraine’s Top Tales, a search for talented children’s authors on the ITV show Lorraine.
His previous work includes writing credits on the Impressions Show and Watson and Oliver.
Staff at Blackwell’s Westgate store arrange regular signings and children’s author Cressida Cowell and illustrator Axel Scheffler were recent visitors.
