A CINEMA has celebrated 15 years since swinging open its doors to movie fans.
To mark the occasion, a celebratory cake was cut in the lobby of Vue Oxford, by Oxford deputy Lord Mayor councillor Sajjad Malik.
He said: “If the Oxford area is to continue to thrive in the future, it needs to be attractive not just for retail but also leisure, culture and more.
"Vue Oxford has a key role in that vision being fulfilled, so it’s been great to see it attracting so many people into town to enjoy the latest film releases in Oxford."
The nine-screen movie theatre has more than 1,000 seats.
Since opening in 2003, millions have come through the doors to see blockbusters, live screenings of ballet and concerts and even the capital’s theatre shows.
Charlotte Miller, manager of the Ozone Leisure Park picture house, commented: "We have enjoyed a fantastic 15 years here in Oxford and myself and the team have loved welcoming people."
