A WELL-TRAVELLED artist is exhibiting her work in West Oxfordshire this week.
Scottish painter Catriona Herd is staging A Journey In Colour at Number 14 Gallery in the Market Place, Woodstock, until Saturday.
The New York-based artist paints landscapes completed from extensive sketching trips in mainland Europe, Scotland, the Lake District and America.
The exhibition, which started on Saturday, is open from 10am until 6pm today and tomorrow and from 10am until 7pm from Thursday through to Saturday.
Following stints in Edinburgh, Hong Kong and New Zealand, she moved to Brooklyn, New York, in 2003.
In recent years, the artist has won scholarships to paint at the Marchutz School of Fine Art in Aix-en-Provence, France, and the Anderson Ranch Arts Centre in Aspen, Colorado.
Her painting 'Copper Tree, Evora, Portugal', won a prestigious Jean Gates Award in New York.
