TWO rather unusual visitors, complete with red noses, trotted in to an Oxfordshire care home yesterday.
Dasha and Comet delighted residents at Langford View Care Home in Bicester before setting off for the busy festive period with Santa.
It was part of a community event for The Orders of St John Care Trust run care home that hoped to provide ‘animal therapy’ for residents.
Farida Tales, OSJCT home manager, said: “We were so happy to have the reindeer visit us. The sheer joy on the residents’ faces was wonderful to see. Here at OSJCT we like to create engaging and memorable experiences for our residents.
“The residents were able to stroke the reindeer and feed them.
“It was also so nice to see the community drop in and join the event.
“We had Father Christmas giving out presents and everyone was invited for tea and cake. It was a lovely morning.”
The pair were from Steeple Claydon farm.
