DRIVERS were warned to avoid Sandy Lane in Yarnton after a van has crashed into the rail crossing barrier.
A section of the road was closed in both directions after the level crossing crash which happened just after 9am.
Traffic reports said the lights were stuck on red, with no barrier in place.
Oxfordshire County Council warned drivers to avoid the area and said Network Rail is dealing with the broken rail crossing.

National Rail has said Great Western and CrossCountry services between Banbury and Oxford were delayed by about up to 20 minutes this morning.
