A TAXI firm has won a hat-trick of awards in recognition of its driver training and work with charities.
Oxford-based Royal Cars was given the recognition at the Professional Driver QSi Awards.
The firm won the silver award in the private hire operator of the year (81+ vehicles) category, and bronze in both the marketing award and community award categories.
Professional Driver editor Mark Bursa said: “Royal Cars has built on last year’s success, introducing a training programme for drivers, run in conjunction with a major local retail centre. Driver health and welfare has been a major focus, with free NHS health checks being offered to staff.
“And the company works with local tourist attractions, encouraging its drivers to be ambassadors for the city. The result has been a growth in the company’s fleet, and this has brought about a switch to more hybrid cars.”
