ONE PERSON was taken to hospital after a five-car crash closed a main route into Didcot this morning.
The incident happened earlier this morning near the Great Western Park traffic lights on the A4130 and caused delays backing up onto the A34.
South Central Ambulance Service confirmed two ambulance crews were called to the scene at 8am.
One person was assessed at the scene and did not require hospital treatment, while the other was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital. The severity of their injuries are unknown.
All emergency services were at the scene and the road was closed between the Great Western Park traffic lights and the B4993/A4130 Mendip Heights roundabout.
It caused several miles of congestion, with traffic backing up all the way to the Milton Interchange and onto the northbound carriageway of the A34.
Traffic in the area at 8.50 this morning
Vehicles were also queueing beyond the Steventon traffic lights up Milton Hill.
