FOOD fans can eat into the early hours after a delivery giant announced it will stay open until 4am in Oxford at weekends.

From this weekend, Deliveroo launches its new and extended delivery hours, meaning customers can indulge in late night snacks.

More than 150 restaurant partners in Oxford are signed up to the platform, with the Chorizo Piccante Pizza at The Rusty Bicycle on Magdalen Road, users' most popular dish, according to Deliveroo.

The move comes after 'overwhelming requests' according to the company, which has created work for more than 250 people since its launch in the city two years ago.

Food is cooked fresh to order and delivered to residents' door within 30 minutes.

Dan Warne, managing director of Deliveroo in the UK and Ireland: “We’ve added a late-night delivery service after overwhelming requests from hungry customers looking for their favourite bites late at night. “We’re delighted we’ve been able to make it happen and with so many excellent partners on board that are available exclusively to Deliveroo customers."
