THE future of maternity services in north Oxfordshire will be discussed at a meeting today.
A special committee of Oxfordshire County Council, formed to scrutinise possible downgrading of services at the Horton General Hospital in Banbury, will meet in Oxford this afternoon.
The members are tasked with working out whether there is a 'feasible' way to keep midwifery services at the hospital, after Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt ordered an independent investigation into the issue.
The Horton Joint Health Overview & Scrutiny Committee will meet at County Hall, New Road, from 2pm, and members of public are welcome to sit in on the proceedings.
