A NEW public defibrillator is to be installed in a historic telephone box.
Wantage Town Council has applied for planning permission to install the lifesaving device in a cubicle at the east end of the market place.
The council also submitted a heritage statement about the type 6 telephone kiosk, a historic brand designed in 1935 by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott.
