A WEAPON has been recovered by police as part of drug raids carried out today.

The Bicester neighbourhood police team tweeted a picture of the dangerous weapon after the early-morning raids it conducted outside the Thames Valley.

It said it was part of an invesitgation into drugs supply within the north of the county.

The picture showed what appears to be a baseball bat with at least seven nails hammered partly into the end.

Thames Valley Police Bicester said it was found during three early morning warrants.

The tweet added: "As you will see by the weapon recovered, this is why sometimes we do not knock."

One person has been arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.
