CALLING the RSPCA for the Headington shark and renaming floor four are just some of the mind-boggling requests made by visitors to Oxfordshire's Travelodge hotels.

The hotel chain has released a list of bizarre requests its staff have received across the county in the past 12 months.

One of the most unbelievable requests came from the Wheatley hotel and revealed a customer asked 'there is a shark diving into a house, shall we call the RSPCA'.

The Bicester Travelodge, often frequented by Bicester Village shoppers, also produced a number of odd requests including 'If I leave a list and my credit car can you do some shopping for me at Bicester Village'.

Another visitor also asked staff if during their stay they would rename the fourth floor, as it is an unlucky number on their culture. The customer also added they would need eight gold dragons added to the room for good luck.

In Oxford, the bizarre request were also rife including one customer's demand at the Peartree branch for staff to open their curtains before sunrise to ensure they woke up naturally.

Another customer at the same hotel also asked staff to help trace their long lost aunt Tina who lives somewhere in the county.

Travelodge spokeswoman Shakila Ahmed said: "With 19 million customers staying annually in our 553 UK Travelodge hotels across the length and breadth of the UK, our hotel teams receive thousands of unusual requests from business and leisure travellers.

"Where possible, the teams will go above and beyond to help customers.

"They do like a good challenge.

"However there are some requests that they cannot help with, such as: arranging dancing dolphins at Lands End, for it to snow and to ensure all traffic lights are green for a business executive so that he gets to his meeting on time."
