FIRE CREWS were scrambled to Bicester town centre twice in one day to a pub and restaurant.
Bicester Fire Service were first called on Wednesday to the Torino Lounge in Sheep Street for a possible gas leak.
The restaurant had to be closed whilst crews investigated, but did not find a cause.
It was made safe and customers allowed back in by 2pm.
Further up the high street crews from Bicester, Kidlington and Oxford tackled a fire above the Saxon Pub shortly after 7.30pm.
Crews said they were ‘extremely busy’.
