PUPILS at Chandlings School went on a trip around the world in 30 minutes.

Youngsters at the Kennington school took a tour around tabletops adorned with flags from 18 countries – all filled with tempting treats and fun crafts set up by the parents for the finale of International Week on Friday.

In Guernsey, people could taste some butter from homebred cows.

In Pakistan the children could try some Rooh Afza, a concentrated pink drink, and in Japan they were given an origami masterclass.

All the youngsters had to get their passport stamped, and fill out a pop quiz on the country to pass the test.

Once the 30 minutes was up, Year 4's spent the rest of the day in Japan, whilst other years went to Brazil and some even in France.

The afternoon was filled with kimono making, dance and language workshops ahead of the special International Day Parade.
