RESIDENTS have been given some temporary respite after the planned closure of a major road was postponed.
Blackbird Leys Road was due to be shut off all this week for roadworks but this has now been put back until March.
The County Council is completing the works - the final part of improving the mini roundabout at the junction with Sandy Lane West.
A diversion was planned via Cuddesdon Way and Watlington/Garsington Road.
There had been concerns that the planned closure would cause long delays and congestion on the remaining roads.
