THE local church of the so-called 'Botley Bag Lady' will hold a memorial service in her honour.
The Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in West Way, Botley, has announced plans to pay tribute to the eccentric figure, whose real name was Eleanor Bolton, on Sunday, November, 25 from 5pm.
In a statement, the church said: "We hope this will provide an opportunity for local people to come and pay their respects and honour her memory and the place she had in the life of the west Oxford and Botley communities."
An inquest into the death of Ms Bolton, 73, found she likely died of natural causes.
