WORK will be taken to assure people who use county council services that they will not be left behind by anticipated changes.
Liz Leffman, a Liberal Democrat councillor for Charlbury and Wychwood, submitted a written question over concerns elderly people could be unable to use certain library services following a recent cut.
The county council currently offers people who want to borrow certain resources from its libraries the option to receive notices that they are available by post or email.
But it has planned to stop the postal notifications, something Mrs Leffman said she worried would leave people unable to properly use the library service.

In her question submitted in preparation for yesterday's council meeting, Mrs Leffman wrote of one woman in her division: "As this resident does not have a computer, she is concerned that her access to library services will be diminished [as a result of the change]."
In her written answer, Lorraine Lindsay-Gale, cabinet member for education and cultural services, said providing the notices is a 'discretionary service' and that they had seen a sharp drop in demand for them over the last decade.
But she added at yesterday's meeting that the council would do work to see whether any measures could be taken to prevent people without access to a computer feeling unable to use services.
