BROKEN radios, toasters and other electricals can be fixed at a 'repair cafe' in Oxford this weekend.
The pop-up repair shop will be held at the Common Ground Cafe on Little Clarendon Street on Sunday from 2pm to 4.30pm.
Members of the public are invited to bring along broken electronic and electricals, IT items, clothes, bikes and sharps and volunteers will try their best to fix them.
Attendees are also promised a relaxed social atmosphere with tea, coffee and cakes and will be invited to sit in front of the repairer to observe the repairing process.
The event has been organised by Share Oxford, a community group who have also set up a so-called 'library of things' in the city where residents can borrow tools, cutlery and machinery.
Both schemes are aimed at cutting down on household waste. For more details email repaircafe@shareoxford.org
