A MARRIED couple from Witney have raised more than £515 for charity by completing an abseiling down the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Tash Harris and husband Ben wanted to raise the funds for the Oxford Hospitals Charity after the hospital treated their son, Hudson, when he contracted Meningitis at three-months-old.
Mrs Harris said: "We were devastated when we heard that our little Hudson had contracted meningitis. During a really difficult time in our lives the John Radcliffe children’s hospital was incredible.
"Everyone who crossed our path was so helpful, friendly and understanding from the moment we got there to the moment we left."
Mrs Harris' employer, Puddle Ducks Oxfordshire which provides swimming lessons for local babies and children, will now boost the total raised by donating money from a series of fundraisers held throughout October.
